Women’s Mental Health
Women are told they can have it all! But what does that really mean and at the expense of what? Women are often wearing multiple hats, taking on multiple roles and balancing it all throughout each day.
Whether it is working and holding the mental load of motherhood or being a Stay at Home Mom (SAHM) and wondering if this is what you really want? Maybe it is or maybe it is just want makes sense right now for your family? Maybe you feel you have lost a sense of yourself as you raise your children and/or care for your aging family members, while trying to nurture your own relationships.
You might wonder ‘Where did I go? Where did that person go that used to have all these goals and dreams?” Maybe you did not mean to put yourself in 3rd, 4th, 10th place in line but it happened and now you are struggling. Life feels really draining, more than it maybe it needs to but you are not sure what to do about. Your mood feels off, you feel exhausted, worried all the time because there is just so much and it seems like you need to do it all.
We were told we could have it all. But perhaps having is all is taking a look at our needs and our wants to realize how much we matter in this equation. Therapy can be a non-judgmental, supportive place to explore these questions.
I have many years experience working and supporting women through various stages of life, whether it is the journey to motherhood, relationship struggles, work struggles and raising kids. I encourage you to reach out if any this resonate with you so we can determine if my style would be a good fit for your needs.
