Kate Trasher-White

Psychotherapist
MSW, LICSW, PMH-C

Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by.

I am sure you are curious what it might be like to work with me; what my approach is and what treatment might look like. These are all really important questions.

First, the most important part of the therapy process is that you feel comfortable working with me or any therapist you choose to work with.  This can take time and the therapeutic relationship is often built over multiple sessions with both the therapist and the client deciding if feels like a good working relationship. But ultimately, it is up to you.

My approach is flexible, client centered and trauma-informed. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to the process. I use multiple types of therapy in my practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focus Therapy—so I use elements of these in my practice with maybe a little humor sprinkled in along the way.

I want clients to feel empowered in how we go about approaching the healing process because I believe that healing is a courageous journey. So whatever brings you in, wherever your journey has taken you and no matter where you see yourself and want to go, I would be honored to support your journey. I welcome you to reach out if this resonates with you to see how we may work together in the future.
